Particleboard: Moisture Resistant Description of item:  Royal Plywood distributes an interior, moisture resistant panel that is ideally suited for kitchen, bath and laboratory cabinets, and applications with high humidity and incidental moisture content. Duraflake® MR also has AWI approval for sink deck applications. Particleboard is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood particles, such as wood chips, sawmill shavings, or even saw dust, and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded. Particleboard is a type of fiberboard, a composite material, but it is made up of larger pieces of wood than medium-density fiberboard and hardboard. Particleboard is considered post-industrial (pre-consumer) recycled content. Royal Plywood now stocks MR particleboard that is CARB compliant and NAUF.
