Fire Treated: Lumber Description of item:We treat our lumber with a Class 1 Type A interior fire retardant and then dry it to a moisture content of 19% or less. It has been recommended for structural application such as roof trusses, rafters, floor joists, shelving, load bearing walls, partition walls, façade’s, and many other interior applications. It meets the flame spread requirements of all building codes, with a flame spread rating of 25 or less. It also meets the AWPA UCFA (C-20) standards, City of Los Angeles Building Code, Military Specification MIL-L-19140-E, and is UL approved. Exterior fire treatment is available upon request.
